Wednesday Nature Program
Our Fall 2025 Wednesday Nature Program meets from 10AM- 1:30PM (in the church classrooms), providing students age 6-12 with both indoor and outdoor nature study experience.
This program begins on September 3rd and ends December 10th.
We will NOT have class 11/26
Caring for our earth begins by cultivating an awareness of the natural world around us. As we make our way through the seasons, we will address the how’s and why’s of our ever changing natural world. Each week we will study nature through a multilayer approach- within the classroom, exploring the outdoors, and participating in extended learning activities.
Classroom time will be spent introducing nature based concepts, themes, and topics, while students have the chance to participate in individual, small group, and whole group learning. Outdoor exploration will include observations, nature journaling, and discussion that cultivates a connection with the world around us. Extended learning activities will include building/creating/making that is focused on nature based concepts or using a variety of nature based materials.
The first Monday of each month we will take a nature based field trip. Parents are required to attend, but participation is not mandatory.
