Class Topics: Think It Through: Critical Thinking for Kids Instructor: Christine Lancaster Course Description: In Think It Through, students will explore the exciting world of logic, reasoning, and creative problem-solving through games, puzzles, stories, and hands-on activities. This class is designed to strengthen your child’s ability to observe carefully, ask thoughtful questions, recognize patterns, and think independently. Each week, we’ll tackle fun challenges that encourage kids to: -Spot fact vs. opinion -Make predictions and test them -Follow step-by-step reasoning -Work collaboratively and explain their thinking -Solve mysteries, brainteasers, and real-world problems Activities will include logic puzzles, strategy games, mini debates, mystery stories, group challenges, and more. History of Transportation Instructor: Lynn Gilbersten Course Description: In this class we will explore the history of various kinds of transportation. We will start with the invention of the wheel and move through time, learning how humans figured out how to travel by road, rail, sea, and air. We will read books about specific inventions, track the evolution of different types of vehicles on a timeline, and make projects that test out the same scientific principles humans used to create different kinds of transportation.
