Service Description
In Democracy and Debate ("D & D") we will have fun exploring core concepts of democracy such as voting and elections, making and passing laws, and understanding different levels of government from local offices to Federal branches of checks and balance system. The debate portion of class will encourage each student to use their voice and opinions as a tool for organizing, sharing, and expressing varying viewpoints in a respectful, confident manner. Through games, role playing, mini-debates and discussion there will be plenty of opportunity to dive into Democracy and Debate in fun and meaningful ways. By the end of class, students will understand our government structure, how to critically think, listen effectively, and use the power of their voice.
Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY: We keep our program and class numbers small to enhance learning outcomes. If you have questions about a program or class, please contact us prior to signing up. Programs and/or classes can be dropped PRIOR to the second week of each semester. There is a 30% fee for a dropped program or class. The remaining balance after fee reduction will be reimbursed. *IPHG will NOT reimburse for a program or class that is dropped after the second week of each semester* To drop a class please email iphglearning@gmail.com IPHG reserves the right to cancel any class. In the event a class is canceled before beginning, a full refund will be given. In the event IPHG cancels a class after the class has begun, a prorated refund will be given.
