Service Description

This class will help put into perspective the vast world of languages and cultures through the main focus point of language. Some ancient languages are read as images, some are read as words, but in all cases, written languages are beautiful and interesting to look at and replicate. In this class children will receive a small booklet with the various languages to be discussed: mayan, egyptian, pu'repecha / tarasco, chinese characters, sumerian, etc., and will be also shown side by side so as to have children find similarities and differences. Shanti's father, Charles W. Johnson (founder of Earth/matriX Science in Ancient Artwork and Science Today, will be appearing via zoom, on a few occasions to speak for a for 10 minutes per class, about the words and images found in the booklet, as he has researched and written about the subject for thirty years. Cultural Aspect- Besides having the opportunity to write and draw, the children will also learn to recreate: one of the following for each culture studied. - ancient / traditional dance (Egypt) - ancient / traditional song (Maya) - ancient / traditional art technique (brush stroke China) - cuisine (purepecha / tarasco) - clay tablet (sumerian)
