Daniel Carylon Instructor

Hi all, I'm Daniel Carlyon!

As a father of two and having had a lifelong passion for LEGO®, I am excited to venture into the homeschooling world offering the IPHG community brick-built STEAM classes.

My journey with bricks includes nearly six years working directly as a Brick Specialist with The LEGO Group, where I mastered the art of inspiring builders of all ages (kids through adults), and I have five more years as an independent brick artist.

My Wife Johannah and I are the Co-Founders of The Building Place. Which brings playful learning to Chicagoans through classes, birthday parties, and events; where we combine classic STEAM principles with creative building challenges, all using real LEGO® bricks.

I plan to bring the same high-level creative artistry, technical skill building opportunities, and fun to every class at IPHG.

I can't wait to meet your families and take your students along for the ride!
