Service Description
The field of theatre is a great discipline to learn as it encompasses many skills from languages, movement, spatial awareness, music, literature, voice, memorization, working together as a unit, imagination, and visualization. In this class, students will have the opportunity to use any skills that they already know- dance, playing a musical instrument or singing, acrobatics, building props, working set designs, etc. Everyone who takes this class will work together on set design, props, costumes, music, choreography, and much more. Students will be taught a thorough actors' warm up in every class so as to develop acting, voice and memorization techniques. And everyone will receive a small booklet with theatre terminology glossary. All of our hard work and creative energy will be brought together in a production for friends and family to see at the end of the semester. Shanti Johnson has been working with professional actors with choreography, physical movement, and voice. She has written two children's scripts: * A Multi-Lingual Adaptation of The Little Prince (based on Le Petit Prince by Saint-Exupery) *Historias de mi abuela Matilde" / "Stories From My Grandma Matilde" based on the short story by Theatre and Film Director (Roma Diaz)

Cancellation Policy
We keep our classes small to enhance learning outcomes. Because of this, it is important that our classes are filled up with students that are committed to the class.  If you have questions about a class, please contact us prior to signing up to make sure the class will meet your expectations.  Classes can ONLY be dropped within the first two weeks of the semester. There is a $65 fee if dropped within the first week of class. There is an $80 fee if dropped within the second week of class. The remaining balance after dropping will be refunded. Classes CANNOT be dropped after the second week of scheduled classes. After the second week of scheduled classes no refund will be given. To drop a class please email iphglearning@gmail.com IPHG reserves the right to cancel any class. In the event IPHG cancels class is canceled before beginning, a credit to be applied for future semesters will be given. Credit will be for the value of the canceled class.
