Nature Study
(age 8-14) 10:30-11:45 AM Instructor: Amyie Kao
Service Description
Caring for our earth begins when we cultivate an awareness of the natural world around us. In this class, we will keep a nature journal/herbarium, read seasonal poetry, and record what we notice as the seasons change. Most importantly, we will spend as much time outside as possible exploring and cultivating a connection with nature. Our weekly class rhythm will include time at the beginning to introduce a nature topic followed by a nature walk/outdoor observations, then nature journaling, and more outdoor time if possible or a nature documentary that complements what we are studying. By the end of this course, we hope to have a deeper appreciation for this old earth of ours. *age 7 with permission
