Service Description
Come learn to play violin! Whether novice or experienced, students in this class will get individual lessons in a classroom setting. Everyone will receive an instrument and bow to take home for the duration of the class. The semester will begin learning about the care and basic function of the instrument, as well as technique (proper posture, bow grip), and basic music reading skills. Week after week students will develop their own style and musical ability, as well as explore different music essentials such as rhythm, pitch, and playing together as a group. By the end of the session the students will have a taste of what it's like to play in a mini orchestra and will be encouraged to perform for our class families the last day of the fall semester. *Home based practice will be requested weekly
