Service Description

Join us for a fun, engaging, hands-on class where students will use the Engineering Design Process (EDP) to identify a real-world problem then design and build a solution to it. Students will work independently or with a partner to solve a real-world problem. Problems can be found in their own lives, or the lives of others. Individuals/groups will work at their own pace with the instructor's guidance. Once their problem is identified, they will complete the other steps of the EDP through the lens of a business. Students will have to think critically on how they will create, price, and market a product to solve their real-world problem. They will keep track of all this in their Entrepreneur Journals (provided) Students will have the resources provided by Problem Solvers to use on their project, or they can bring in recycled materials from home. At the end of the sessions, students will have a prototype of their design, and a mini business plan in case they want to take their design to the next level. Come make your ideas a reality!
