Service Description
This class is for children 10-14. In each class, we will learn some Asana (yoga poses), and we will follow our coloring anatomy book to learn about particular parts of the body, for eg., the hands, feet, brain, lungs, heart, etc... The yoga poses of each class will be directly related to the anatomy that we will study on that day, learning how that part of the body more or less works, and which yoga pose benefits that part of the body.The children will also learn some words in Sanskrit. About the Instructor Shanti Johnson started practicing yoga at the age of 5 at home. Her mother practiced and still practices yoga as part of her East Indian tradition. She tells of how when she was little, she remembers her father (Shanti's Grandfather) who was a Brahmin Indian from the State of Maharashtra, waking up daily at 3-4 a.m. to practices yoga and slokas (recitations). This love for yoga has been passed down to Shanti who now enjoys sharing the practice and knowledge with people of all ages.
Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY: We keep our program and class numbers small to enhance learning outcomes. If you have questions about a program or class, please contact us prior to signing up. Programs and/or classes can be dropped PRIOR to the second week of each semester. There is a 30% fee for a dropped program or class. The remaining balance after fee reduction will be reimbursed. *IPHG will NOT reimburse for a program or class that is dropped after the second week of each semester* To drop a class please email iphglearning@gmail.com IPHG reserves the right to cancel any class. In the event a class is canceled before beginning, a full refund will be given. In the event IPHG cancels a class after the class has begun, a prorated refund will be given.
