A Child Through Time
9am-1:30pm (Ages 5-9) Instructor: Julia Godines
Service Description
Ever wonder what life was like for children during different periods in time? Their names, where they lived, what they ate, what they wore. Did they play? Did they work? Did they go to school? As we make our way through the semester, we will spend our morning classroom time answering all of these questions and more. We will learn about children who lived in the Early Civilizations, the Classical Age, and the Medieval Period by reading related books, looking at pictures and watching videos, incorporating art projects, and working on a progressive timeline. We’ll gain a deeper understanding of the evolution of these civilizations as we incorporate geography, architecture, and transportation, while also discussing different illnesses and diseases, religions and beliefs; constantly evaluating, comparing, and contrasting our lives to different children’s lives through time. *Materials are included in the cost of this class.
